I :

  • was trained as a painter & printmaker but am currently exploring other disciplines
  • was a Master printmaker in the TACA Master/Apprentice program- thank you!
  • did ride in a water taxi the full length of the Grand Canal, just as the sun was setting
  • am a maker of unique artist books (small editions and one-of-a-kind explorations)
  • write and produce sculpted haikus that allow the text to exist in space
  • have wandered the streets of Paris on the coldest day in a century
  • am married to a talented musician & am the mother of four very exceptional adults
  • swam with sea turtles off McKenna Beach!
  • am a designer of clothes, advertising, automata, my garden, breakfast & martinis
  • have been in over 50 juried and invitational gallery shows (winning some awards)
  • took photos in St Mark’s Square of my husband & pigeons (no one else in the frame)
  • am an illustrator, using pen & ink, paint, sculpted pieces, and rarely, a photograph
  • have given workshops on  drawing techniques, various book forms, transferring ideas, painting, experimental letterpress process, frottage, pochoir , simple automata & more
  • have taught art classes to various ages in public, private and collegiate settings
  • have wandered the Alhambra on Valentine’s day (‘nuf said)
  • was the artist in residence and a guest artist in various school systems and colleges
  • went back to college after 30 years, finished my degree and added book arts to resume
  • did take the Night Scotsman from Edinburgh to London (yes, there was shortbread)
  • have designed & produced wearable art and stage wear for country music stars in the 90’s-Kathy Mattea, Patty Lovelace, Tricia Yearwood, Hal Ketchum, Alan Jackson Diamond Rio, (to name a few) some in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville
  • did participate in several DIFFA collections in Dallas, designing for country stars & me
  • have wandered Amsterdam as erect bicyclists flew by, the canals froze over, and a snow blanket covered everything in minutes, including us
  • was a freelance stained glass artist in the 70’s (who will still play in glass if asked)
  • was the art director for a couple of small agencies in California in the 70’s & 80’s
  • once bought butter-soft lime green gloves in Florence, which I still love and wear
  • did work for a renowned sculpture conservator – private, public, & museum collections
  • did wander the Dunkeld salmon leases along the Tay
  • have had my work collected by generous art collectors throughout all the stages of my career, for which I am eternally grateful
  • hope to add more accomplishments & adventures to my list, before my last martini!
