I am really looking forward to the October Kinetic Text workshop. It is my chance to introduce people to the fun of simple machines & automata and their use in moving text. Come join as we play with cranks, cams, and push rods. I can attest to the crazy-joy you get the first time you build something that can move! Class is at the Downtown Main Public Library in Nashville at 615 Church Street, Oct 19th at 9:30 am – 1:30. Bring your tools: X-Acto knife, blades, hole punches, paper drills, scissors, glue brushes, etc. There will be some available for those of you who aren’t equipped, but there will be a lot of cutting and construction and I find it is easier if your using your own tools. I am sorry but this class is now full, to have your name added to the waiting list, feel free to call: Liz Coleman at 615-862-5804 x6092.
