I will be teaching two book making classes at North House Folk School in Grand Marais MN, next month during their Unplugged Weekend, which helps support the school. One with Twigs and Twine and one with Birch panels, Sept 13th & 14th. If you have never been, it is a wonderful experience to roam the shores of Lake Superior at the edge of the North Woods. Please look them up online and see if you can picture yourself in that environment. It is magnificent! www.northhouse.org
I have another fall workshop taking place in Nashville at the Main downtown library on Kinetic Texts & automata on Oct 19th, beginning at 9;30. We will turn salvaged books into machines! There are some examples in my Kinetic Text section if you are interested. Join us for some fun and a quick (4 hour) intro into simple automata. You can check availability with Liz Coleman, who runs the library’s wonderful community workshop program.
Note: the Kinetic Text workshop is now full, but you’re very welcome to add your name to a waiting list by calling Liz Coleman @ 615 862-5804 x6092
